Lace Up Your Skates-Disney On Ice Is Coming To Town!

THIS CONTEST IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED FOR NEW ENTRIES!!

Remember how I told y’all last year about taking Abby to Disney on Ice? How pretty much it was the highlight of her life and shortly afterward we began planning our trip to Disneyworld? And how to this day, Disney on Ice (not actual Disneyworld, mind you) remains at the top of her memory list? It is all coming back to you, isn’t it?

Well, we are excited to be heading again to the newest Disney on Ice show, Worlds of Fantasy in a couple weeks.

Now, if you live in the Charlotte, NC area (or are willing to drive to Charlotte), gather round close, okay. Ssshhh, don’t tell the other readers, we wouldn’t want to make anyone feel left out. But don’t worry, I have another post that IS for everybody in a few hours!

Hey, Florida, I see you over there. This part isn’t for you. No, seriously, nothing to see here, really.

I promise.

Okay, I think they are gone. It is safe to tell you now.

Disney on Ice is letting me GIVE AWAY 4 lower level tickets to the opening night show on Wednesday, October 10th, 2012 at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte at 7:00 p.m.

And, they have also shared with me a special discount code in case you feel like you don’t have good luck with contests or going on a Wednesday night doesn’t work for you!

Here is the easy step to enter:

  • Simply leave me a comment with your child’s favorite Disney movie of all time and also let me know that you are in the Charlotte area or willing to travel here for the show. You will receive ONE entry. (Make sure you use a valid email address when you comment. It is visible only to me, but it is how I will contact you if you win!)

This contest is closed for new entries at 10:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, October 4th, 2012 . The winner will be drawn using random.org and will be notified by email no later than Saturday, October 6th, 2012. The winner will have until 2:00 p.m. EST Monday, October 8th, 2012 to claim the prize.

Feld Entertainment is neither a sponsor nor endorser of this promotion. I was provided with tickets to use and give away on The Dose of Reality, but all of my opinions, rules for this giveaway, and references my child’s Disney memories are my own!

THIS CONTEST IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED FOR NEW ENTRIES!!

Congratulations to our winner Cindy Sflaka who will be enjoying the show with her family!

  1. My oldest loves Brave and my younger two LOVE The Jungle Book. We are just a mile from the arena so we could definitely make it. Thanks!

    • Bill - - PaPa took Abby ice skating and had a very talented young figure skater guide her around the rink and show Abby how to skate. She really liked it. However, Abby’s favorite part may have been watching the Zamboni clean the ice!

  2. My daughter’s favorite Disney movie is Lady and the Tramp. We recently purchased Mary Poppins and it has been such a hit that she wants to be Mary Poppins for Halloween!

  3. We have lots of favorite movies here in our house. PETER PAN has the be the BIG HIT right now. It covers Pirates, Tinker Bell and Peter pan all in one movie. We are here in the Charlotte area ( FORT MILL, SC ) Love love love Disney on ICE! This show is going to be Outstanding! Thanks for the super cool prize giveaway.

    • Cinderella is the best. She and her castle were the hottest ticket at Disney Land! Considered yourself officially entered to win!

  4. My 4yo’s current favorite Disney movie is Sleeping Beauty (it changes often). My 10yo and I love sooo many of them — she used to be a Disney movie expert in her “younger years.” LOL!

I live in Charlotte and would gladly be available to attend! 😉

    • Oh, we love Sleeping Beauty! She doesn’t get the attention that some of the more recent movies do now-but she should! Consider yourself officially entered to win!

  5. My favorite Disney movie, was Walt’s 1943 Oscar nominated hit “Victory Through Air Power”. It was his animated documentary promoting of the soundness of strategic aerial bombing in World War II. :)

    • I can’t believe that is really a film, but I Googled it, and it is. It is not, however, in the spirit of this contest, Robert. You should *not* consider yourself entered in the contest to win because you are a smart alec. :) Better luck next time!

  6. My children’s favorites are the Toy Story movies. If they had to pick one, it would probably be Toy Story 2. (My daughter asked for a Zurg toy for Christmas last year — Santa had to look around to find oue!)

    • Oh, we *loved* the Toy Story movies! I’m smiling just thinking about them! So glad Santa was able to come through with Zurg! Consider yourself officially entered to win!

  7. I have 3 girls! Two of them love Ariel and the older one loves Princess Aurora! We are in Lincolnton and willing to drive to see the show!

  8. My absolute favorite Disney character is Belle but the little one has become partial to Cinderella (or as she says, “Centerella”). I definitely live in the Charlotte area and these would be a sweet treat for her for her 4th birthday!

    • CENTERELLA! Love it! Centerella would make a wonderful birthday present! Consider yourself officially entered to win!

  9. My daughter’s favorite move is Tangled. But like many have said, she is 5 and it can change at any moment. We are in Charlotte.
